2023-24 Report to Community
Striking the perfect balance between professionalism and playfulness was key in designing the 2023-24 Report to Community. Story-based articles supported by data-driven statistics were brought to life through the wide use of colourful backgrounds, custom illustrations and layered page layouts brought together through a ‘stitching’ style effect. The result is a visually striking, authentic showcase of the meaningful impact Trellis delivers in the community.
2024 Branching Out
The 2024 edition of Branching Out magazine celebrates authentic storytelling, sharing the personal voices and experiences of the communities Trellis serves. Drawing inspiration from personal scrapbooks and journals, each page comes alive with textures, torn paper edges, handwritten notes, Polaroid snapshots and custom illustrations, creating a publication that feels as personal as the stories it tells.
2022-23 Report to Community
Reinforcing brand and bringing greater awareness to who Trellis is were the key foundations supporting the 2022-23 Report to Community. The design elevated existing brand elements and supported them with a new, custom illustration style. A gentle balancing of photography, graphic brand shapes and illustrations come together to create a visually captivating design that tells Trellis’ story in a way only Trellis can.
Custom Illustrations
A custom illustration style was developed for this project that now carries through all branded materials for the Trellis Society. Unique illustrations are designed to bring an authentic, human feel to the content.
2023 Branching Out
Gritty, honest and unapologetically real, the 2023 Branching Out publication uncovers the true stories behind Trellis’ work in the community. This raw authenticity is reflected in its layered, torn-paper compositions, textured backgrounds and custom illustrations, creating a visual narrative that feels as unfiltered and genuine as the voices it represents.
Custom Colouring Pages
To encourage interactivity and engagement, custom-illustrated colouring pages were added into the publication. A call-to-action on the cover of the magazine invites readers to pick up the piece and engage with the stories as well as the activity.
